This "Not Just for Napkins" Starfish Weight by Beatriz Ball. It measures approximately 3-3/4" x 3-3/4" and is made entirely by hand, one at a time, using the ancient art of sand casting (used by the Romans and Greeks): pouring a premium quality alloy of molten aluminum into sand molds, and then going through four levels of hand polishing to create a deep lustrous finish.
More than twelve different sets of hands are involved in the creation of each Beatriz Ball pieces, and the result of this intensely handmade process is a piece with a depth of character, warmth, and personality that communicates in a way that only a handmade piece can.
